Network Switch

The switch acts as a “city traffic manager” in an intelligent transportation system. It uses MAC addresses (Media Access Control) to accurately send data to target devices. The switch relies on a MAC address table to record which devices are connected to each port. Thus, when a data frame arrives, the switch only needs to look up this table to quickly determine which direction the data packet should be sent.
